Since Wink announced that the are now going to charge a monthly subscription (which from the beginning they always stated they NEVER would do this, I decided to change over from my current Wink Hub 2 to a Samsung SmartThings Hub.
Having over 30+ devices definately took some time moving over to the new hub. I decided to have both the Wink Hub and the Samsung SmartThings hub connected to my home at the same time to slowly move devices over and test as I went along. One advantage of the SmartThings hub is that it integrates with Z-Wave, Zigbee and WiFi devices (the Wink Hub does not integrate with WiFi devices). I have a few Leviton Wi-Fi switches which now I can have controlled all in one app. I also have a Wi-Fi switch attached to my hub so that if the need arises, I can remotely restart the hub when away (I've had my Wink hub become unresponsive once while on vacation which caused all my automatons to fail). I also have a lot of older Z-Wave wall switches which do not require neutral (my house was built around 1955 so most of my wall electrical boxes do not have a neutral) and these switches converted easily over to SmartThings. I'm now trying some of the new switches which have support for a neutral or non-neutral wiring setup.
